Worth It made me realize things I knew as well as some things I didn't know about myself. I understand things a lot better now and can see things clearer. I went into this with a void a darkness, because I've been lost since mom died. I came out renewed, loved, and free! When I met Dr. Hunter it was an answer to prayer. I was at a point where I could not move forward in my life because my past was holding me back. I had overcome much but there were still issues that kept coming up. Though I tried many many times to overcome by myself I could not do it. I would take one step forward and three steps back. I felt like I was going around in a circle. I could not let go of what happened to me in my past.
What Dr. Hunter, taught me was that I did have a choice. That it was up to me. That I could let go. That I could forgive. That I could move on. But I had to choose to do it. The bibles tells us choose this day who you will serve. Each day we have a choice to make. To live by the Word or live by the world.
She walked with me through the steps by the Word of God and at times it was very difficult because you have to look at yourself and we sometimes do not like what we see. We do not want to own up that we are responsible for our future no matter what was done to us in the past. I learned the only thing I can control is what I do and that forgiveness was not for the other person it was for me.
There are times in our lives when we need someone to come along side us and walk with us through the process. I am so very grateful to Dr. Hunter for her insight and adherence to the Word of God. Dr. Hunter is an amazing woman of God. I thank the Lord for her.
You can do all things through Christ who give you strength.
